As you may agree, this is a key moment for our nation and the State of California, and much of California's direction is both inspired and influenced by the people of the Capitol City, Sacramento. Therefore, our prevailing intercession must include requesting God to bring Heaven to Sacramento and that the people, including leaders, would seek His Kingdom, repent, and walk intimately with Christ.

In addition to Sacramento, we will also stand in the gap for the children/youth enrolled in California public schools. The Father is revealing His plans for transforming Jesus' Golden State. This includes bring His hope & future into the lives of millions of students (& their families) who have been taken as captives by our common enemy. Let us believe that as we come to Jesus as His little ones and intercede for the "Sphere/Mountain of Education", the Holy Spirit will be moved to battle for the souls of children in every region and community of California! We will use a portion of our prayer meeting (using California Governor's Prayer Team conf. call & access numbers: 712-432-0232 & 246193#) to connect with intercessors from various cities of CA & beyond.

If you are planning to be in Sacramento area on 10/29, you are more than welcome to join us at the Prayer Chapel at First Baptist Church, Downtown Sacramento. For those who are not able to be there in person, please keep this meeting in your prayers and consider interceding with us using our special conference call connection from 8-9pm. Would you pay a close attention to "10.29.09 Schedule" below & share this invitation/request letter with others who are praying for revival? THANK YOU!

Together in Christ,
Dai Sup Han

10.29.09 Schedule

First Baptist Church Prayer Chapel

2324 L Street, Sacramento, CA 95816

(Please use 24th Street entrance)

www.fbcsac.org font-size: 12pt;font-family:Trebuchet MS,Verdana,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:100%;color:#000000;" >Yesterday evening Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed SB 54 and SB 572, both authored by Senator Mark Leno, into law. SB 54 requires California to grant all the privileges and rights of marriage to same-sex marriages performed outside of California prior to the passage of Proposition 8 last year. SB 572 requires the governor to declare every May 22 Harvey Milk Day in California.

"This is tragic news for California families," state Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute. "The governor has chosen to completely undermine the will of the people -- the millions of Californians who have twice stated that they intend for only traditional marriage to be recognized in our state. By signing SB 54, the governor thumbs his nose at the initiative process and the voters who trust that their vote means something.

Last year the governor vetoed a bill identical to SB 572 that would have declared Harvey Milk Day in California. In his veto message, the governor cited the local influence of Milk in San Francisco, stating that Milk's recognition should not be mandated statewide.

"We don't know why the governor suddenly changed his mind and decided to impose a radical social agenda in every classroom," stated England. "One possible explanation is the influence of the governor's Hollywood friends. After a biopic on Milk received Academy Award recognition earlier this year, Hollywood political activists began lobbying the governor to sign the resurrected Harvey Milk Day bill. It seems that the governor places more value in the opinion of his Hollywood friends and their values than the values of the people who voted him into office."

The Harvey Milk Day bill was so controversial that the governor dedicated a phone line in his office to calls regarding Harvey Milk Day.

"The people of California have clearly spoken out against same-sex marriage and Harvey Milk Day, yet the legislature and the governor continue to push their agenda on our children," stated England. "Parents are outraged that their young children -- including kindergarteners -- will be forced to participate in activities 'commemorating' the life of a man known for his sexuality. Parents and voters are deeply disappointed and outraged by the governor's signing of these two unnecessary, agenda-pushing bills."

Read SB 54
Senate Votes for SB 54
Assembly Votes for SB 54

Read SB 572
Senate Votes for SB 572
Assembly Votes for SB 572

California Listening Team

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; is a new, dynamic concept for individuals who want to be successful in every aspect of their lives. What makes Successful Thinkers truly unique is that it incorporates the best of technology; Internet, multi-media and the like with the best of personal, face-to-face interaction.

More importantly, this high-tech, high-touch approach creates an interactive environment where members can experience success for themselves “in the field” rather than just learning about it.
MY REFERRAL # 4961

Contact the Governor - (916) 445-2841

Action Alert!

A Few Days Left

Governor Schwarzenegger has until midnight, Sunday, October 11th to either sign or veto bills that are sitting on his desk.

Please continue to contact his office and encourage him to veto SB 54 and SB 572:

SB 54-End-run on Proposition 8
The bill states that all marriages performed prior to Proposition 8's passage last November must be recognized by the state government. If they are performed after Proposition 8's passage, the marriages will have all the legal rights and benefits of marriage, just not the legal term "marriage." SB 54 was recently "gutted and amended," going through only one committee hearing. It's wrong for such a controversial bill to not go through the whole legislative process with maximum public input.

Read SB 54
Senate Votes for SB 54
Assembly Votes for SB 54

SB 572-Harvey Milk Day
Senator Mark Leno's bill will declare every May 22 Harvey Milk Day in California. According to SB 572, school children will learn about and honor Milk at school every May 22.

SB 572 is designed to insert sexual politics into all California classrooms. The bill language actually states that on Harvey Milk Day, schools are "encouraged" to conduct "exercises remembering the life of Harvey Milk and recognizing his accomplishments as well as the contributions he made to this state." Such vague language means there are no clear guidelines for what students will do to "commemorate" the life of Harvey Milk and his controversial political activities advancing homosexuality.

Read SB 572
Senate Votes for SB 572
Assembly Votes for SB 572

Contact Governor Schwarzenegger The natural things speak of the invisible. Natural happenings on the earth are revealing something that is going on in the spiritual realm. There is a great spiritual conflict with a rising tide of Islamic boldness being manifested. Several happenings are converging this week. First of all, our President has recently proclaimed, honored, encouraged the Muslim holy days of prayer and fasting called Ramadan. He was very silent on the National Day of Prayer but very vocal on the support of Ramadan. Interestingly at the same time a major Christian leader of the Emergent Church called for forty days of fasting and prayer in the same Ramadan period with the goal that the church will better understand our Muslim friends. We are all for understanding but we must have spiritual discernment as to the spiritual dark powers that are being invoked into our nation.

Sept. 25th: Cause for Concern

At the same time, on the 25th of September, Muslims are calling for a Muslim Day of Prayer in Washington DC (http://www.islamoncapitolhill.com/). They are calling for 50,000 Muslims to gather and pray on the DC Mall. This is the exact word of one of the Sheikhs who is leading this historic gathering, "Muslims should march on the White House. We are going to the White House so that Islam will be victorious, Allah willing, and the White House will become into a Muslim house." These are not empty words. They speak of a dark spiritual intent and a coming day of great trouble to America.

A Divine Moment

Now one of these events is enough to awaken us to this significant throbbing moment, but when they all converge it becomes a massive spiritual alarm that must be responded to by the praying Church. However, I believe in this moment of divine providence God has raised up on the stage of history a little "Esther" that if we pray and fast for her she could be a major voice to expose the dark under-belly of Islam and radiate a bright hope for a day of salvation for Muslims in America.

Headlines

On Monday, Rifqa Bary, a young 17-year-old woman, will be in the headlines of US news. Four years ago, while living in a very devout and radical Muslim home, Rifqa met Jesus in a powerful way as her savior. She hid her conversion, began praying secretly, and began hiding her bible from her parents. Then, on Facebook, her love for Jesus was exposed to the radical Muslim community in Ohio. Rifqa's father demanded that she renounce Jesus or he would kill her as is commanded by the Koran. As a radiant believer in Jesus she refused to renounce her Lord and fled to Orlando where she was taken in and cared for by a Christian Church and family. Now, the father is appealing to the courts to bring her back under his custody. Major television networks have already covered her story. How must the Church of America respond in this moment for our sister who is a part of the Body of Christ?

A Major Sign

This convergence, I believe, is urgently summoning us in the midst of the rising tide of Islamic influence in America to recognize that our God is above every god and that if we return to Him with all of our hearts and call upon Him with fasting and prayer then God could use what the enemy meant for evil to bring about a great day of salvation for Muslims in America, of which Rifqa is but a major sign.

Here is The Call

First of all, we cannot be passive as a Church to let these kinds of developments go on without being challenged in the spirit. Our fight is not against Muslims, it is against principa lities, powers, and forces of darkness. We are calling the Church of America at the end of Ramadan, from September 21st through 25th, to five days of concerted prayer. On Monday, we must pray that God would grant supernatural wisdom to the courts so that the testimony of Jesus would be proclaimed and that the best situation for Rifqa and her family would take place. We must pray for Rifqa to be bold in proclaiming Jesus that even thousands of Muslims would hear and be awakened to the love of Christ. It is in regards to the Statewide Sacred Assembly coming up on Saturday, September the 19th close to Sacramento. He has been in the prayer movement for a very long time in California and is a definite friend of God!

He is hitting on things in the Spirit I don't think even he knows about, or maybe he does! There are things he is touching on, that, unbeknownst to him, are about to be coming out in Part 2 and 3 of the 'Why the Assemblies?" series.

What perhaps touched my heart the most is a 'Father' in the Spirit supporting and girding up the younger generation and both together bearing the heart beat of God! This is generational, or it is nothing!

By the Spirit, I feel Joel succinctly captures the essence of the Quarterly Regional Sacred Assemblies planned for 8-City/Regions in California. As much as this is informational, I also believe it is a prophetic utterance and proclamation in the Spirit...there is a real anointing on it, catch it!!!

Thank you Joel and well said! I honor you as a father in the Lord!!!

Here is what Joel sent out:

"We have a tremendous opportunity coming to Sacramento this month on Saturday, September the 19th, 2009

In 1998, Chuck Pierce prophesied that "God desires that California prayer warriors would develop '8-Hubs of Prayer' at strategic locations throughout the state. One of these locations would be the Sacramento region.

A team from Southern California (including Doug Davis) has been working to establish these prayer 'hubs' through regional meetings called 'Sacred Assemblies." Born out of these 'hubs' would come 'Houses of Prayer", so that California would become completely covered by a 24/7 Canopy of Prayer!!!...continuous!

The Canopy of Prayer would provide the change of "Atmospheric" conditions that will allow the church to prevail in our ongoing efforts of revival, salvation, miracles, etc. [think of Moses on the mountain top, holding the heavens open, so that the warriors (Joshua) can be victorious in the valley!!]

At 10am on Saturday, 9-19-09 we will begin 12-hours of continuous Sacred Assembly. We will worship, pray, fast...in unity...declaring God's Kingdom come, His will be done....over our region and all of California (Beulah-Land!)

Please join us in this tremendous event, this Kairos moment, this strategic day (also Rosh Hashanah - The Jewish New Year)....at Impact Church in Roseville. Bring friends, pastors, all prayer warriors....young and old!! At 8330 Brady Lane, Roseville, CA, 95747 (Outside of Sacramento)...Opened by Pastor Don Proctor!"

God Bless You,

Pastor Joel Pappas

Oasis Christian Mission Center
10265 Old Placerville Road, Suite 1
Sacramento, CA 95827
www.oasischristianmissioncenter.com

DETAILS AND DESCRIPTION OF THE ASSEMBLY ON SEPTEMBER THE 19th

Here are the details:

* Saturday, September the 19th from 10am to 10pm at Impact Church in the Sacramento area (8330 Brady Lane, Roseville, CA 95747; www.impactchurch.info) The 19th is Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year

These ongoing, quarterly, Regional Sacred Assemblies (RSAs) are 12-hours of continuous prayer/intercession, worship, fasting (we urge everyone to fast on water or juice), humbling ourselves, presenting ourselves before the Lord, supplication / proclamation / decree, open mike, prophetic declaration, preaching, scripture reading, scripture medleys, real time spiritual art, and whatever else God wants to do in a spontaneous format in accordance with the Joel 2:15-17, II Chronicles 7:13-15 and James 5:16-18 models

(If you are interested in reading the Full Outline of the Assemblies, it is further below).

Blessings to All,
Doug Davis

For more information, contact Doug Davis at: dougdavis@SacredAssemblyNow.com

"Gay Day" in Schools One Step from Becoming Law

For Immediate Release: Saturday, September 12, 2009
Contact: President Brad Dacus (916) 857-6900

"Gay Day" in Schools One Step from Becoming Law

Sacramento, CA - Schools across California may soon be devoting an entire school day to honor homosexual icon Harvey Milk, if Governor Schwarzenegger signs a bill passed this week by the California legislature.

The bill, SB 572, requires that the Governor proclaim every May 22 as Harvey Milk Day, "and would designate that day as having special significance in public schools and educational institutions and would encourage those entities to conduct suitable commemorative exercises on that date." In the video, a portion of which originally aired on KCAL-TV late Tuesday, the 54-year-old Republican appears to not realize his microphone is on during a lull in a July 8 Assembly Appropriations Committee hearing at the state Capitol. Duvall, a father of two, is shown leaning back in his chair and talking to Assemblyman Jeff Miller, R-Corona, as Duvall's intermittently muffled voice describes his exploits with two women. At one point, Duvall tells his colleague that one of the women turned 36 that week and let him spank her.

Assemblyman Mike Duvall resigns after his sex comments are broadcast
By Shane Goldmacher and Patrick McGreevy, Los Angeles Times
An Orange County lawmaker who inadvertently broadcast explicit remarks about his sexual conquests over an open microphone abruptly resigned from office Wednesday after legislative leaders stripped him of his committee posts and launched an ethics probe of his actions. Assemblyman Michael Duvall (R-Yorba Linda), whose remarks were videotaped in July during a lull in a Sacramento hearing, stepped down less than 24 hours after the tape spread online Tuesday night. In the video, the married family-values crusader from Yorba Linda talks in graphic detail about women he said he slept with -- at least one of whom appeared to be a lobbyist with business before the utilities committee on which Duvall sat as vice chairman.

Assemblyman Duvall quits after bragging about affairs with two women
By Jim Sanders, Sacramento Bee
Assemblyman Mike Duvall quit in shame Wednesday after tape recordings showed the married father of two boasted and laughed about having sex with and spanking one of two mistresses. Duvall will be investigated by the Assembly Ethics Committee, despite his resignation, amid reports that one mistress is a lobbyist for the utility industry that Duvall was assigned to help regulate. Much like locker-room bragging, with a sprinkling of the F-word, Duvall's salacious chatter came during a break in a Capitol hearing during which he apparently didn't realize a microphone was live.

Norby will run for Duvall’s Assembly seat
By Jennifer Muir, Orange County Register
Supervisor Chris Norby has announced plans to run for the state Assembly seat left open by Mike Duvall’s resignation today. Norby is termed out on the Board of Supervisors and had planned to run for office next year as the county’s clerk-recorder. He quickly changed his plans this afternoon. “My assemblyman’s very quick resignation has presented an opportunity, and I think I’m in a good position to take advantage of that opportunity,” Norby said during a phone interview. “I think I can do a good job up there.”

Capitol Resource Institute Statement Regarding Assemblymember Duvall

Sep 10, 2009

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners: Voices a Perspective

An Alert from Capitol Hill Prayer Partners, see below.

On another note: Please be aware that the President is planning to fly the communist flag of China over the White House. U.S. District Judge Vaughn R. Walker, appearing before a packed courtroom, also declined to suspend Proposition 8 before trial, noting that such a move would create too much uncertainty for the state and same-sex couples who would marry. "This case is only touching down in this court," Walker said. "It will have life after this court, and what happens here in many ways is only a prelude to what is going to happen later. "Our job at this point," he said, "is to make a record." Walker's statements Thursday mirrored a tentative ruling he handed down Tuesday. That ruling heartened gay rights activists, who said Walker made it clear he appreciated the gravity of the challenge and their arguments. Neither side objected to Walker's refusal to issue a preliminary injunction.

Federal judge moves to fast track legal fight over Proposition 8
Judge sided with gay marriage advocates -- agreeing that Proposition 8 violates the federal equal protection rights of gays and lesbians
By Howard Mintz, San Jose Mercury News

A federal judge Thursday refused to temporarily block Proposition 8, moving forward with his plan to put the latest legal challenge over California's gay marriage ban on a fast track to a trial that is likely to produce the most thorough review to date of whether same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry. With all sides in the legal battle poised for a fight all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker agreed with Attorney General Jerry Brown and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, concluding that it would cause too much confusion across California if he chose to suspend Proposition 8 while the challenge to the voter-approved gay marriage ban unfolds in the courts.
